the following information. You will need to meet the following minimum
requirements. Please also note that we are classified as Rural, Remote
and Metropolitan Area (RRMA) Zone 3 - click here for more information
about the RRMA classification system.
Currently Launceston is classified as "Rural" for the purposes of the GP training program. Note that this national classification system will change effective July 2010, please watch for updates.
Have Vocational Registration (VR) with the Medicare Australia, or
Are eligible for "FRACGP ad eundum gradum" because of reciprocal rights relating to your particular medical school, click here for more information.
If you do not have VR status, then your will normally need to be currently enrolled in a registered Australian training program (such as that provided by GPTT) leading to the successful completion of the FRACGP examinations.
